Acrobat Error 1311- Learn to Fix Acrobat Error 1311 Data1 dot CAB
Are you trying to install Adobe Acrobat application on Windows PC? You may encounter following error messages while performing this task.
"Error 1311. Source file not found: [drive_letter]:\ Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
"Error 1335. Source file not found: [drive_letter]:\ Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
"Error 2350. Source file not found: [drive_letter]:\ Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
If you click on Retry button then following message may appear.
Cannot find the file Adobe Acrobat [version]\data1.cab
Error 1311 data1.cab normally occurs when Acrobat installer program fails to access the required program setup files form the program setup CD-ROM. Error may occur when installation files are in compressed form OR it may be the cause that security software is creating the conflict situation.
In order to fix this issue you may have to apply following steps
a) It is difficult for system to read the setup files from CD-ROM when there is dust on the disk. In this case you have to clean it
b) Uninstall the program and then reinstall it. To do this, you have to
1) Start>>RUN and type sysdm.cpl and press Enter
2) Go to Device Manager
3) Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives
4) Right Click all devices listed one-by-one and Uninstall
5) OK
To make sure the complete removal of CD/DVD drive driver files, it is recommended that you use a registry tool to clean the windows registry.
6) Exit and restart your PC
c) You should extract the installation files form the compressed format
d) To prevent Acrobat installation problems to security software installed on your PC, you must disable it for a while. Please see the documentation of your security software in order to safely disable it.
